Westfield School is 0-1 against Brookstone since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Westfield School Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Brookstone Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Westfield School is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Westfield School got themselves on the board against Heritage, but Heritage never followed suit. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 52-0 win over the Hawks.
Westfield School can attribute much of their success to Jackson Hair, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Brookstone was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Crawford County 64-16 at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Brookstone just coasted through the last quarter.
Dillon Terry was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Chris Vickerson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Their wins bumped Westfield School to 4-4 and Brookstone to 3-4.
Westfield School might still be hurting after the 38-17 defeat they got from Brookstone in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Westfield School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
