After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Pittsburg, Moultonborough Academy was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They came out on top against the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks by a score of  11-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the  contest before.

 Emily Hurst made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up  seven earned runs off   four  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Lauren Grinavic was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Molly Cahoon was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
Moultonborough Academy now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lin-Wood,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-2.
 Looking ahead, Moultonborough Academy will host Sunapee  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Lin-Wood, they will venture away from home to  take on Lisbon  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.2  runs per game on average), something the Lumberjacks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
