Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Preble Shawnee). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 67-38 blowout they got against the Tri-County North Panthers. Given the Arrows' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Panthers are ranked 708th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Preble Shawnee's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for Tri-County North, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preble Shawnee and Madison will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Madison has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three contests. As for Tri-County North, they will be playing at home against Franklin Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
