Softball Recap: Phoenix Christian Wins Going Away Against Fountain Hills

Phoenix Christian barely beat Fountain Hills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Falcons 21-5 on Thursday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Selena Soto, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Brooklyn Clark was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Phoenix Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fountain Hills only posted a batting average of .333.

Phoenix Christian's record is now 16-4. As for Fountain Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Phoenix Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Scottsdale Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Fountain Hills will face off against rival Tempe Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
