The Palmetto Tigers will take on the East Bay Indians at TBD on Monday. East Bay took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmetto, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Palmetto was able to grind out a solid win over the Seminoles, taking the game 37-30. Given Palmetto's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Seminoles are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, East Bay came up short against the Chargers on Tuesday and fell 26-19. East Bay has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Palmetto has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for East Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Palmetto lost to the Indians on the road by a decisive 50-34 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Thankfully for Palmetto, Melissa Ramos (who scored 17 points along with five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
