The Brunswick Railroaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 55-24 win over St. James on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Brunswick as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Leading Brunswick to victory were Andie Welsh and Gabby Stefanic. Welsh dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds, while Stefanic dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stefanic has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aeriana Carter, who scored three points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Brunswick's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for St. James, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Brunswick will be playing at home against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frederick is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for St. James, they will take on Springdale Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Springdale Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. James in Maryland (Springdale Prep is ranked 106th, while St. James is ranked 245th).
