Belvidere North's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  13-0 margin over the Jefferson J-Hawks. The Blue Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 The team  relied heavily on  Miley Dobbs, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jenna Yakey, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Belvidere North has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-12.
 Coincidentally, Belvidere North and Jefferson will both be playing Guilford the next time they take the field. The Blue Thunder will head out to face the Vikings at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the J-Hawks will  host them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
