The St. Mary's Cardinals waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They walked away with a 52-40 win over West Holt. Given St. Mary's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while West Holt is ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Mary's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lorissa Reiman, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gracie Williamson, who scored eight points along with four steals.
St. Mary's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. As for West Holt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
