For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Dodge City and Great Bend meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Demons lost 8-0 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Demons in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Dodge City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Great Bend, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dodge City is set to take on their familiar foe Garden City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Great Bend will face off against rival Liberal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
