The Fike Demons will head out on the road to  square off against  the Southern Wayne Saints  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Fike will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
Having struggled with three  losses in a row, Fike  turned things around against American Leadership Academy-Johnston  on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of  10-7.
  Aleah Thompson was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. What's more,  she posted two  hits, the most she's  had since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Gracie Vincent, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They lost  17-2 to Hunt.
 Southern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Fike, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.
 Fike took their  win against Southern Wayne  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  18-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
