On Friday Howard take on Menno/Marion at 7:00 PM. Howard are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Menno/Marion are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Howard and Irene/Wakonda were playing football. Howard skirted past Irene/Wakonda 60-57.
Meanwhile, Menno/Marion found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 16-38 punch to the gut against Parker last week. Menno/Marion were down by 8-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Howard's win lifted them to 3-2 while Menno/Marion's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. If Howard want to win, Howard will need to focus on stopping Menno/Marion's junior Gavin Pankratz, who passed for 331 yards and 2 touchdowns, and senior Kyle Munkvold, who caught passes for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see whether or not they are up to the challenge.
