The Napoleon Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Findlay Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Napoleon didn't have too much trouble with the Cougars at home as they won 43-24. Given Napoleon's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Cougars are ranked 666th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ava Good and Chloe Cicero were among the main playmakers for Napoleon as the former scored 11 points and the latter scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Good has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Kruse, who scored two points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a 56-49 finish the last time they played, Findlay and the Wildcats decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Findlay came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 28-16 on Thursday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Findlay has scored all year.
Napoleon's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Findlay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Napoleon took their win against the Trojans in their previous matchup back in December of 2020 by a conclusive 63-38. Will Napoleon repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
