The Frontier Academy Wolverines entered their tilt with the Valley Vikings with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Frontier Academy came out on top against Valley by a score of 61-50 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Frontier Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Jackson Steward was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Frontier Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cy Lowery, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Frontier Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Valley, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier Academy will take on Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they will be playing at home against Strasburg at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Strasburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Valley in Colorado (Strasburg is ranked 33rd, while Valley is ranked 308th).
