University Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Statesville Christian Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Back in January, University Christian lost to the Knights at home by a decisive 41-27 margin.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Statesville Christian had to settle for a 30-27 loss against the Eagles on Thursday. Statesville Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
University Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Statesville Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
University Christian strolled past the Lions in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 38-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for University Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
