Troy came tearing into Friday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the McGregor Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the game before.

Isabella Garcia made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Melanie Zapata and Jae Jae Phillips did most of the damage at the plate: Zapata scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Phillips scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Troy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McGregor only managed five hits.

Troy pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for McGregor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-3.

Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McGregor, they will square off against Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
