Despite the loss, South Pike still got an impressive performance from Dondra Turner Jr, who rushed for 84 yards and two scores, and also threw for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. A healthy portion of Turner Jr's aerial production (91 yards to be exact) went to Antwaun Adams, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Tylan Keys produced another solid performance rushing for 217 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry for Poplarville. Keys showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards. Remy Naquin was another major influence, as he rushed for 41 yards and ran in a TD.
