Justin Wyatt Jr. Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Highland was led to victory by Justin Wyatt Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wyatt Jr. threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.1 passing touchdowns per game. He has become a key player for Highland: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Lancaster, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Walker and Lancaster will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Suarez Came Up Big in Palmdale's 59-0 Victory
Palmdale picked up their third consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Joshua Suarez. Suarez was unstoppable, throwing for 211 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Suarez is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season.
The victory got Palmdale back to even at 4-4. Suarez's next match is against Eastside on Thursday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Demond Blanchard's Big Game Leads Highland over Antelope Valley
Another Highland player making an appearance on this list is Demond Blanchard. He picked up 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.

Jaden Graham Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Jaden Graham of Quartz Hill. Graham rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He is becoming a predictor of Quartz Hill's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
If history really does repeat itself, Graham might just drop another big game when he faces off against Antelope Valley on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Graham saw the Antelopes), he rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
