Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson had strong showings from Jakaylia Roland, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and six steals, and Kristian Watson, who scored two points along with five rebounds. Roland is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
It was another big night for Peyton Looky, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals for Cypress Bay. Those 12 steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Boyd Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cypress Bay, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Boyd Anderson will take on Mater Lakes Academy in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at. Mater Lakes Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boyd Anderson in Florida (Mater Lakes Academy is ranked 137th, while Boyd Anderson is ranked 499th).
