Corona del Mar's Kai Wilson rumbled for the longest rushing play in Pacific Coast this season in his game against Irvine last week. Wilson ran for 83 yards on the play and finished with 104 on the day as his team beat the Vaqueros.
Woodbridge moved up to 435 from 471 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors were able to make move up by defeating University 38-7.
Matt Callahan and Austin DeFreitas gave Woodbridge a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Callahan threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, while DeFreitas ran for 193 yards. Teammate Patrick Tanseco added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.
Nick White was the best wideout in the league this week as Beckman fell to Northwood. White tallied two receptions for 59 yards. Devin Aguilar helped Beckman's passing attack out by catching four balls for 32 yards.
Cayman Carter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Corona del Mar topped Irvine. He completed 13 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 106 yards. Carter's favorite target this week was Cole Martin, who caught three passes for 53 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Carter of Scott Meyer's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1192. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Rick Gibson's team's DeFreitas has rushed for 1432 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is White. The Beckman star has 26 catches for 480 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Corona del Mar takes on second place Woodbridge. The Sea Kings topped Erik Terry's team last week, while the Warriors beat the Trojans.
