The Wilmington Wildcats will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pontiac Indians  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
Wilmington lost  12-3 to Minooka on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Wilmington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Dierks Geiss, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Pontiac gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Monday. They came out on top against Metamora by a score of  8-5.
 Wilmington took their  victory against Pontiac  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilmington since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
