The Rising Sun Shiners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Milan by a score of 75-64. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Rising Sun as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Brody Morris was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight assists and five steals. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Shorten, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Rising Sun's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Milan, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rising Sun will take on Switzerland County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Switzerland County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. Milan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Triton Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. Triton Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Milan in Indiana (Triton Central is ranked 155th, while Milan is ranked 400th).
