Milan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jefferson Bears a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Big Reds have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Milan's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Jefferson, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Coming up, Milan will venture away from home to challenge Escanaba at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jefferson, they will welcome Richard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
