On Tuesday, El Dorado got the win against Sunny Hills by a conclusive 9-1.

Emily Yoon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jessica Cherms was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Renay Chavez, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but La Habra ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Sonora an 11-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Highlanders as they're now sitting on four straight.
La Habra also got a great performance from Maddison Payne as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Payne posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Hernandez, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Angelina Renteria was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
La Habra lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
La Habra pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for El Dorado, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Both El Dorado and La Habra just can't seem to miss. The Golden Hawks have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like La Habra struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
