The Parsippany Redhawks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hopatcong Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Parsippany suffered a rough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Pompton Lakes. Parsippany was down 54-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, Parsippany saw an underclassman step up: David Niedermaier scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Niedermaier, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Hopatcong's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 15th straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-42 walloping at the hands of North Warren Regional.
Parsippany now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Hopatcong, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Parsippany beat Hopatcong 60-48 in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parsippany since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
