The Hagerty Huskies had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against Lake Mary by a score of 72-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Hagerty to victory were Alex Dipaolo and Caden Douglass. Dipaolo scored 26 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Douglass dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Douglass has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julian Declou, who scored seven points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Hagerty's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Lake Mary, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Hagerty will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Seabreeze at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Lake Mary, they will play host again and welcome Mount Dora, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
