The Lincoln Abes will square off against the Central Kitsap Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lincoln's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over Bellarmine Prep. That looming 42-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Abes yet this season.

Lincoln got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jadeon Scranton out in front who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Scranton also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Abes are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Sione Kaho was another key passer, throwing for 250 yards and three TDs while completing 75.9% of his passes.
Lincoln didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Bellarmine Prep to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The team can thank Ramon Jones for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lincoln has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.59 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.59 in their last three games.
Lincoln didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off eight passes before the game was over. Eonytus Kitiona led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Kitsap). They came out on top in a nail-biter against Silas on Friday, sneaking past 25-23. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since September 26, 2024.
Central Kitsap's win came from a few key players Lincoln will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kevin Morales, who rushed for 86 yards and one score. That rushing touchdown marked the first that he has punched in this season.
Lincoln now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Central Kitsap, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Thursday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Lincoln has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Central Kitsap, though, as they've been averaging only 61.6 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Lincoln strolled past Central Kitsap in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-19. Do the Abes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
