You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Fayetteville Academy Eagles's strategy against the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans on Wednesday. Fayetteville Academy put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 47-22 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Fayetteville Academy had established a 24 point advantage.
Leading Fayetteville Academy to victory were Polly Miller and Riley Duchon. Miller scored 15 points, while Duchon scored 27 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Duchon has scored at least a third of Fayetteville Academy's points.
Fayetteville Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
