It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Leto Falcons had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Packers 62-24 on the road. Leto has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
Leto had a senior duo take command as Derek Delgardo, jr dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds and Daniel Delgardo, III scored 16 points along with five steals. Delgardo, jr has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 20 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jerry Couzens, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The win (which was Leto's fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6. As for Largo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
Leto will take on Wharton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leto is coming into the game with nine straight victories on the road, so Wharton is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Largo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
