Trillium Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Canton Preparatory 81-49 at home. The result was nothing new for Trillium Academy, who have now won four games by 31 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trillium Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keymarryon Fishburn, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds. Fishburn is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Sharone Russ was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six steals.
Trillium Academy pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Canton Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trillium Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Richard at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Richard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trillium Academy in Michigan (Richard is ranked ninth, while Trillium Academy is ranked 76th). As for Canton Preparatory, they will head out on the road to face off against Center Line Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
