Softball Recap: Lakeside Has No Trouble Against Weston

Lakeside's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Weston Wolves 12-2. Considering the Warriors have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Raleah Harris was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted over her last eight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Teal Austin, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Weston, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coming up, Lakeside will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. As for Weston, they will head out to challenge Franklin Parish at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
