The Kingman Academy Tigers will challenge the Williams Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kingman Academy has three straight victories, Williams has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Kingman Academy's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Parker with a sharp 18-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by 18 runs or more so far this season.

Emily Mathys was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Gabby Zubia was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Taylee Mote was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Kingman Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .675. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .675 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Williams scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Camp Verde by a score of 9-8.
Faith Jensen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Kingman Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Williams' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kingman Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .458. It's a different story for Williams, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Kingman Academy's hitters?
Kingman Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Williams in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, winning 10-6. Will Kingman Academy repeat their success, or does Williams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
