Gautier (Miss.) beat Long Beach (Miss.) 56-21 on the strength of
Jamyrian Quinn, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a
Denzel Packnett touchdown run in the first quarter, the Gators were up 48-9 at the half.
The Gators raced to 28 in the first quarter alone and kept up the pace for the win.
Gautier's most effective player was Quinn. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns.
A 42-12 Gautier victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Long Beach (0-9) will play a 5A Region 4 game against West Harrison next week, while Gautier (6-4) will take on Pascagoula also in a 5A Region 4 game.
