Mitchell waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over the Largo Packers. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Packers are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mitchell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Priya Jacob, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Brianna Coure was another key player, putting up 11 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
