After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Altamont, Cumberland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Neoga Indians with a sharp 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cumberland pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Neoga, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.

Coming up, Cumberland will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Neoga, they are taking a road trip to take on Casey-Westfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
