It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hesston had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the Council Grove Braves by a score of 61-49. The win was nothing new for the Swathers as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Despite the loss, Council Grove still got an impressive performance from Brycen Palmquist, who went 7-for-16 en route to 16 points. Palmquist's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reid Buttrey, who posted six points and three steals.
Hesston's record is now 21-2. As for Council Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
