Leading Rincon/University to victory were Sabrina Wexler and Leila O'Dowd. Wexler scored 17 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals, while O'Dowd scored 26 points along with 6 assists. The contest was O'Dowd's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Arielle Kuwawu, who scored 0 points along with 6 steals.
Rincon/University now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Desert View, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Rincon/University will head out on the road to face off against Ironwood Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Ironwood Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Desert View, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tucson High Magnet School at 7:00 p.m.
