Basketball Recap: Maysn Gregg Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

On Tuesday, the Peyton Panthers earned a 32-20 win over the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peyton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maysn Gregg, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Gregg is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Scarlett Clark was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Peyton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Banning Lewis Academy only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Peyton's record now sits at 6-8. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Peyton will square off against Dolores Huerta Prep at 4:00 a.m. on February 6th. Peyton is facing Dolores Huerta Prep at the right time seeing as Dolores Huerta Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Banning Lewis Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 45-34 victory against Florence on the 1st.
