The Whiteface Antelopes entered their tilt with the Whitharral Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Whiteface secured a 56-50 W over the Panthers on Friday. This was payback for Whiteface, who suffered a 45-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Whitharral lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nomar Gomez, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gomez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Sansom, who scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Whiteface's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Whitharral, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5.
Coincidentally, Whiteface and the Panthers will both be playing the Bulldogs the next time they take the court. Whiteface will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
