Clarion-Goldfield (Clarion, Iowa) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The Rockets's special teams scored on two punt returns.
After taking the lead on a
Miguel Alvarado touchdown run in the first quarter, Rock Valley/Boyden-Hull led 28-0 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 28 entering the fourth.
Alvarado played well for RVBH in the victory. He ran for three touchdowns.
The Rock Valley school went into the matchup giving up only 5.4 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Clarion-Goldfield, which notched a 27-10 victory over Hampton-Dumont in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Cowboys' 2-game winning streak.
