The Argyle Orioles waltzed into Monday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Belmont 51-34. That's another feather in the cap for Argyle, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Belmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dustin Freiburger, who scored four points. Another player making a difference was Carter Kettler, who scored 12 points.
Argyle's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Belmont, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Argyle will be home for the holidays to greet Black Hawk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belmont, they will head out on the road to face off against River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
