Early County fell 64-53 to Bainbridge on Tuesday. Early County was down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Early County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Javarrien Jones, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Tremarion Lee was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Aj Grant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bainbridge, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. Grant has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Smart, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Early County and nudges their season record down to 15-9. As for Bainbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
Early County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Stewart County is coming into the game with nine straight defeats at home, meaning Early County will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Bainbridge, they will head out on the road to take on Cairo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
