After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Worth Christian, Palm Beach Lakes was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks with a sharp 20-3 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

Kaiden Edwards made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Palm Beach Lakes is undefeated when Edwards posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

In other batting news, Zavier Mendonca was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Gabriel Hall, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.

Palm Beach Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheridan Hills Christian only posted an OBP of .476.

Palm Beach Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Lakes will take on Atlantic Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they will challenge David Posnack Jewish Day at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sharks are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
