The Madison-Grant Argylls will face off against the Frankton Eagles at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Madison-Grant picked up another tournament win  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Liberty Christian with a sharp  16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Argylls, who have now won five matchups by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
Madison-Grant got a big performance out of  Gabe Landis, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Xavier Yeagy, who  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Madison-Grant  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .576. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Frankton came out on top against Anderson Prep Academy  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Eagles blew past the Jets 16-1. The  win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jets: they've now won six in a row.
 The team  relied heavily on  Shaun Jarrett, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Jarrett Morris was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Madison-Grant's victory was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-2. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Frankton, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
Madison-Grant's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's   contest. The Argylls have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.3  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Frankton, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.3  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Madison-Grant continue to outrun the ball?
 Madison-Grant beat Frankton 4-1  in their previous matchup  back in June of 2024. Will the Argylls repeat their success,  or do  the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
