In what's become a running theme this season, the Baldwin Braves gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 75-50 margin over Lowndes. Winning may never get old, but Baldwin sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baldwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Neal, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Neal also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Madison Ruff, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Lowndes' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaci Demps, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Aryana Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Lowndes struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Baldwin racked up 18 assists.
Baldwin's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Lowndes, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will take on Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Baldwin is ranked 14th). Lowndes won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Colquitt County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
