The Ripley Tigers came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Shannon 74-46 at home on Friday. The victory was just what Ripley needed coming off of a 48-25 defeat in their prior match.
Ripley had a senior duo take command as Emma Barkley scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and Alorian Story scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barkley has scored all season. Taylor Spight was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Ripley's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Shannon, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
Ripley will head out on the road to take on Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ripley is coming into the game with three straight victories on the road, so Houston is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Shannon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
