Heartland II recap October 22, 2013
Lewisburg scaled the state rankings by moving to 206 from 235 this week, the biggest jump in Heartland II. The Green Dragons climbed the ranks as a result of beating Central Columbia 28-6.
Montoursville extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Milton, 28-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Hughesville's dynamic duo of Logan Henry and Clint Snyder proved tough for Mount Carmel to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Henry threw for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns and Snyder had 94 yards receiving. Nick Yeager helped Hughesville's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 53 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the RED TORNADOES's Zach Wasilewski and Treyvon White have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Wasilewski has thrown for 1,113 yards this season, while White has 34 catches for 459 yards. Montoursville's Cameron Ott leads the league in rushing yards with 1,182.
A big matchup in Heartland II this week will be when Lewisburg takes on Loyalsock Township.. At the moment, Jeremy Winn's team is in second, while the Lancers are in fourth.
