Braddock can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the Sunset Knights by a score of 47-34. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sunset's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriela Rojas, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Rojas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gleidy Flores, who put up 17 points.

Braddock's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Sunset, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Braddock will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Sunset, they will be playing at home against Immaculata-La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
