Softball Recap: Mille Lacs Co-Op [Isle/Onamia] Wins Going Away Against Ogilvie

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]'s game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ogilvie Lions with a sharp 11-3 victory. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Brooklyn Orazem was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Orazem was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

In other batting news, Aria Mueller and Paige Strecker did most of the damage at the plate: Mueller went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Strecker got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Strecker has snagged this season. Dani Larson was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ogilvie only posted a batting average of .222.

Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]'s victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Ogilvie, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will welcome Browerville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ogilvie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
