Jackson South Side's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aydison Dilworth, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Dilworth. The team also got some help courtesy of Ri'Kiya Mitchell, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Haywood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 39-33 to Jackson Central Merry.
Jackson South Side has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Haywood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
