Community Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Lawrence Academy 36-6. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.
Senior Gavin Wiley, who rushed for 111 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. This was the first game for both teams, giving Community Christian a 1-0 record and starting Lawrence Academy off at 0-1.
In two weeks, Community Christian take on Pungo Christian Academy at 7:00 PM. As for Lawrence Academy, they will face of against Halifax Academy.
